Slow Cooker Chai-Spiced Poached Pears
Only 6 ingredients:
6 Ripened Pears
2 Cups of Fresh Orange Juice
¼ Cup Maple Syrup
5 Cardamom Pods
1 Cinnamon Stick (broken in 2)
1 Pinch of fresh Ginger Peeled & Sliced
Peel, core, and slice off the bottom of the pears. Place upright in slow cooker on low for 3 to 4 hours until soft.
Serve alongside some whipped cream (coconut or soy whipped cream for vegans) and top with ground cinnamon and small walnut pieces.
